Stephanie Krauss will be bringing wool and linen to sell.
May 13th
Faith Webster will provide a brief presentation of her scrappy washable 3″ square with circle mat.
Yes, the linen backing is prewashed*, so your piece when finished can be washed.
People that have signed up (form to come) will move to the smaller room following the presentation to draw out and plan a mat.
The suggested size to start would be a 12″ x 12″ mat but you could do a small table runner so that it would be 12″ by either 24″ or 30″. Wash and line dry your linen before the May meeting, as you will need to have your backing ready and in hand.
If you are interested in purchasing a pre-sized serged finished piece of linen from Green Mountain Hooked Rugs you can sign up (Form to come) and Stephanie Krauss will have it ready for purchase/pick-up at the April 11th meeting.
*To prewash you do it on the gentle/delicate cycle of your washer. Use a mild soap, in cold or warm water. Faith says can go without adding laundry soap, as you are really just looking to remove any possible treatment on the linen. Line dry.
Wool will be provided as a start from the stash that the Tin Pedlar group owns. If you know you want a certain color palate, you can bring your own. Faith suggested to bring your cutter, so can cut wool as need. You will need textured wool (plaids, textured dyed) and solid wools. For those with lots of worms you can work with those. Having them sorted out a bit ahead of time will save time. 6 cut works well, but can go up or down a little bit.
June 10th
Year End Hook In with Truck Sale. We are planning to hold another outside hook in and will offer members the opportunity to sell items through a truck sale.
